The successful candidate will act as sole Digital Video manager for the entire business. You will need to work closely with all functions within the multi-channel & trading teams to ensure that videos drive conversion and engagement. My client has created the role of Digital Video Manager that shares responsibility for the line management of the Digital Photography and Video Assistant with the Senior Digital Photographer. Great opportunity for a nationwide retail head office.
Team Management and Strategy Implementation
Take the Digital Merchandising & Content Objectives & Strategy developed
Act as the key point of contact for Category and Online Trading for video
Video Agency Management
Directly responsible for managing the relationship with video agency/ies on a day to day basis
Ensure that videos are produced and uploaded according to the critical path set, quality levels determined and budget agreed.
Video Scheduling & Delivery
Work with your line manager to produce a comprehensive video schedule so that all project sponsors are fully aware of the deadlines
Report any delays to schedule as soon as possible so that project sponsors can be kept updated
Video Logistics Management
Develop and manage a seamless logistics process to ensure that all wardrobes, products, props and support people (mechanics, quality, and photographers) are in place on time.
Employ the time of your assistant effectively to act as a runner and ensure that everything is in the right place at the right time.
Ensure that your assistant obtains appropriate feedback from category on scripts in a timely manner so that changes can be made before videos are shot.
Creating Video Concepts
Conduct creative brainstorming and storyboarding to present to the project sponsor to ensure your concepts are fully approved before production begins.
Understand the requirements and limitations of producing video for Online, Broadcast & Mobile platforms and be able to explain these to Project Sponsors when necessary.
Video Briefing Process
Create and manage a slick video briefing process to include initial face-to-face meetings for complex projects and a video briefing template to ensure you get all the information you require.
Ensure that you get sign off for production of each project by your line manager, including any budget required for props, software etc.
Maintain direct, regular contact with the project sponsor to keep them updated and ensure what you are delivering meets their objectives at all stages of the process.
Video Creation
Initially the role will use external agencies to produce all of our video requirements. However as the long-term aim is to produce videos internally the ideal candidate should be able to create videos according to the approved brief submitted and the timescales specified.
The ideal candidate should also be able to enhance the experience and possibilities of projects by the using the latest 3D-modelling, CGI, and animation techniques if required.
Editing Video Content
Be able to conduct edits to videos produced as requested by the project sponsor
Responsible for editing live video footage supplied by external agencies to produce high-quality, concise video clips for use on websites.
Conduct sound editing including sourcing sound effects and music loops.
Data Interpretation & Promotion
Work closely with the Data Analytics team and your line manager to create a suite of reports that enable you to analyse the success of video onsite in terms of increasing engagement, dwell time and conversion rate.
Able to interpret web analytics effectively to identify areas of channel success for you to promote, as well as areas that require further improvements.
Process Flow & Training Manual
Create and maintain process flows & training manuals for your role so that other colleagues can cover in your absence.
Best Practise Video Guidelines
Responsible for creating and updating Video Best Practise Guidelines that can be referred to by your colleagues

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Excellent communication, project management and organisation skills
Demonstrates a passion for videography and has a showreel of past work where possible
Minimum of 3 years experience of Adobe Premier, After Effects, PhotoShop, Illustrator, a 3D modelling software such as 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D or Maya and sound editing
Can animate in 3D/2D to produce enriched motion graphics
Can work to tight deadlines and thrive under pressure
The customer is at the forefront of their minds
Former agency worker used to creative briefing processes desirable but not essential
