Purpose:
The successful Candidate will be responsible for the management and continuos commercial improvement of the existing live category framework agreements, supporting Customers with tender completions, Contract and Supplier performance-management across common supplier and/or common Customers.
You will also be supporting the Category Lead on the design and development of new procurements, which will contribute to the overall Category portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Spend Under Management: Meeting and exceeding targets of centrally-managed spend, through leveraged agreements and running end-to-end Customer tender completions.
- Savings: Implementing cashable and non-cashable savings through aggregation and other cost improvement strategies. Development and delivery of benefit methodologies for all procurements and cost improvement Projects (cost savings, monthly reporting and auditable category savings for spend).
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop Plans, conduct supplier performance reviews, introduce relevant KPIs and implement supplier improvement plans.
- Contract Management: Manage contracts (including charges and contract change notices) in order to maximise the benefit of contracts in line with policies
- Category Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain knowledge of the category; market, services, pricing, including analysis of spend.
- Customer Relationship Management: : Identify key stakeholders at Department and/or customer level and establish communication plan, Develop lasting relationships, create engagement for tender competitions.

To be eligible for this position the successful applicant must have:
- Knowledge and experience of procurement and category management
- Experience in preparation of and execution of tender competitions
- Expertise in and knowledge of IT Category
- Very strong commercial acumen including proven delivery of savings and contract management skills
- A strong understanding of EU procurement legislation
- Stakeholder management skills (negotiation, influence and engagement skills)
- Ability to relate business strategy into deliverable business solutions and operational delivery outputs
- Requirement for frequent presence in Norwich
