We are currently seeking a Sourcing Group Manager to look after Systems and Operations within major financial services client based in Edinburgh.

Key responsibilities for the role of Sourcing Group Manager:
-Responsible for devising and developing procurement strategies, procedures, policies and standards, and providing senior level commercial guidance company wide.

Create and manage plans and policies of strategic importance which contribute to the delivery of company objectives.

-Effective networking and collaboration across the Supply Base, Regions and Business Units to ensure optimum value from the supply market.

-You will be involved in & assist with the development of global sourcing strategies and frameworks for procurement activities, deliver sourcing projects and manage key suppliers, ensuring that all contracts and suppliers within your remit are managed appropriately according to best practice and in a cost effective manner.

-You will also support and drive business expense management strategies on an end to end basis across all categories, through a combination of cost reduction, revenue generation, and demand management techniques.

Key skills required for the role of Sourcing Group Manager Systems and Operations
-Purchasing professional (you may be CIPS qualified, or qualified by experience)

-Comprehensive understanding of the commercials of business and be able to deploy that knowledge effectively.

-Knowledge of sourcing across a variety of categories.

-Enthusiastic, driven individual with a can do attitude and the ability to demonstrate accountability, ownership and management of multi project delivery in a timely basis.

-Strong interpersonal skills, both negotiation and influencing, and have experience of collaborating widely with business stakeholders, procurement colleagues and suppliers at all levels.

-It is also essential that you have undertaken the entire commercial purchasing process for certain contracts.
