Rate: Up to £490 per day

Information Architect required with the following Skills:

Experience of designing and implementing an enterprise wide Information Architecture
Experience of producing a corporate taxonomy, structures and relevant IA deliverables to support information systems
Experience of SharePoint or relevant portal based technologies
Experience of Document & Records Management systems and Collaborative working techniques

Desirable:
Knowledge of SharePoint 2013
Knowledge of OpenText CS10
Exposure to engineering / transport industry and processes

You will provide input into the design of future ECM platform incorporating its Document Management, Records Management, Search, Collaboration and Social services. These roles will perform analysis of existing information systems, review and workshop of requirements, and complete a target design for a new architecture to leverage the value in information assets across the organisation.

Specialist and generalist knowledge
-Required: Knowledge and experience of information architectures and the policies, standards, processes and tools that support them
-Broad IT experience, which should include:
-Knowledge of strategy and framework design in an IM environment
-Knowledge of Business Analysis and Business liaison
-Knowledge of systems software and firmware and their configuration
-Knowledge of complex IM infrastructure and its environment
-Proven ability to interpret complex information and provide informed analysis
-Ability to interpret business strategy and to use that to inform and influence the direction of IS strategy
-Experienced in dealing with senior business personnel and possess ability to influence decision-makers
-Demonstrate good technical awareness and understanding of the core technology in use, including an overview of bespoke and other applications in use
-Wide experience of using different business modelling and project management methods

Principal Accountabilities:
- Contribute to the development of Information Architecture and consequently influence the development of an IM Strategy that underpins the business strategy
- Define, organise and maintain the policies, standards and processes that optimise the company's use of, and benefit from, information
- Define the standards and processes for generation and maintenance of data and process models; become an SME within IM for the adoption and on-going use of these standards and appropriate supporting tools
- Lead on activities with IM Project and Programme Managers and with the Infrastructure function to ensure that projects are aligned with the defined Information Architecture and strategy
- Lead on activities with IM Business Analysts, IM Business Partners and the Business to enable an innovative, pro-active approach to the design and delivery of information services to the business and to ensure that the Business are aware of internal policies and of the services available
- Interface with the Supply Chain to ensure integrity of data and process models
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal procedural policies and governance related to the management and dissemination of information
- Manage and continually improve all processes (and their respective teams) associated with the management of information
