IT Systems Administrator/Desktop Support Engineer

Excellent salary plus bonus.

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Administrator/Desktop Support Engineer to join our Company, a fast growing IT managed services provider.

The role will encompass supporting the Internal Support/Infrastructure team and play a key role in primarily offering Server and Desktop support to over 100 internal users.

KEY SKILLS
*Minimum of 1 year experience desk side/floor walking applied experience supporting users.
*Knowledge of Microsoft Server technologies, Exchange, Active Directory administration.
*Knowledge of Desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office.
*Experience in PC and basic Server Hardware support.
*Excellent communication.
*A confident, proactive and an organised approach to work.
*Ability to communicate effectively to all departments within the Company.
*Ability to liaise with third party contacts to ensure the best possible service is delivered.
*Strong focus on customer service, user interaction and the ability to manage customer expectations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
*Assisting the Internal Support/Infrastructure team with the following:
*Repairing or troubleshooting faulty equipment;
*Installing and configuring hardware and software;
*Day to day running of all IT infrastructures;
*Keep documentation up to date and relevant and assist with all IT related queries or issues by users;
*The procurement process for the purchase and quotes of new equipment;
*Deliver best practice call management including: investigation, diagnosing, detailing and resolving incidents within an agreed fix period and keeping the user informed;
*Incident closures once users are satisfied it is resolved.
*Carry out system maintenance in the form of Windows updates, or other planned works. Depending on requests this may necessitate out of core work hours; and
*Carry out other duties, as are within your capabilities and level of responsibility, in order to meet the needs of the business.
