Talascend is currently seeking a Project Manager for a contract opportunity in Milton Keynes.

Job Description:
As Project Manager (Training Design), reporting into the Programme Manager (Training Design), your remit will be to manage the review and production of training and assessment solutions within a specified portfolio, leading project working groups through detailed analysis and design phases of instructional system design.

Key Accountabilities:
· Liaise with key business stakeholders to establish a formal programme of review for all training and assessment material for designated categories.

· Create and maintain accurate, itemised records of all existing and proposed solutions to assist in the development of a published programme of work as well as individual project plans for each work package.

· Lead working groups through a detailed analysis of proposed learning needs to establish key information to support design and evaluation of any developed solution.

· Lead the design phase of the project to identify optimum and alternative delivery/assessment solutions to address the identified learning objectives. Publish the proposed solution(s) in a Design Specification that will be used as the basis of the development phase of the project.

· Programme development activity in line with published project timescales securing resources to deliver required materials.

· Continuously review the effectiveness of the project cycle to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency, incorporating lessons learned into future projects.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Essential
· Ability to manage project work encompassing information gathering and research.
· Experience of working on successful training and development projects.
· Detailed understanding of the legislative requirements for the management of competence, Occupational Health and Safety, our Client's Standards.

Desirable
· Operational experience in related railway engineering/operations discipline.
