Apply4homes is the Common Housing Register for Aberdeenshire and Moray. This web-based system allows applicants to apply online for up to eight landlords by completing one application.
We are seeking to recruit a CHR Assistant to help support both applicants and the Housing Options Team with this process.
You are educated to Standard Grade level in English and Maths and have recent experience using MS office. As well as being able to create and maintain databases you also have a proven track record of working in a busy office environment, dealing directly with customers.
You will be required to provide support to the Housing Options Team, involved in working directly with applicants for housing.

Job Purpose
To assist in the provision of a comprehensive Housing Options Service to meet the housing needs of applicants.
To contribute to procedures in relation to the CHR and as part of the Options Team at local level.
Main Tasks
To assist applicants to complete and to update on line housing applications in the local office and by telephone.
To assist the Housing Options Team with the application process for both new and existing A4H applications.
To monitor and process the annual review of applications including updating system records.
Provide general clerical support in relation to the activities of the Housing Options team.
To provide assistance as required to the AHO (A4H) in relation to various tasks for the A4H partnership process/procedures.
Experience / Qualifications / Personal Qualities
Essential Criteria
- Proven track record of experience in a busy office environment
- Proven track record of experience providing services direct to customers
- Knowledge of Housing Option Services
- Standard Grade in English & Maths or equivalent
- Proven IT skills
- Proven database maintenance and user experience
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Awareness of customers and service needs
- Able to work as part of a team and individually as required
- Able to provide and accept support
Desirable Criteria
- Work experience of a Housing options context
- Ability to assist in service delivery development
- Ability to be tactful and diplomatic
