The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in topics/systems such as SAP, SAP BW & Solvency II. The ideal candidate would be someone who has an accountancy background or is familiar working with finance teams.
ROLE AND CONTEXT:
To manage complex projects in order to change working practices/culture and add value to the business.
In all the following categories adjustments will be made to reflect the specific nature of each assignment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manages complex projects, identifying and resolving resource conflicts and manages critical dependencies. Responsible for long term planning of projects and how these relate to the long term plans of the business.
Manages the estimating process for projects ensuring that the business pays the optimum price for change activity
Tracks and monitors specific large projects and plans.
Provides leadership, advice, guidance, coaching and direction to project team members and other contributors in order to maximise effectiveness and efficiency.
Analyses and interprets complex data to evaluate progress and verify project success.
Contributes to development of business strategy and operating plans.
Manages a project to meet objectives, vision, achieve the success criteria and commercial measures.
Manages project budget ensuring that resources are allocated/spent in the most effective way.
Manages project risks, develops contingency plans and ensures risk management actions are included in project plans. Resolves any issues affecting the project and takes remedial action. Develops quality plans
Manages the activities and relationship of any internal or external suppliers ensuring engagement at whatever required level.
Ensures that effective governance processes are in place and proper project management tools are defined , utilised, providing appropriate controls and reporting on project progress, benefits and achievements in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsible for the delivery of all project outputs and communications.
Assists with the promotion of new and more effective ways of working within the change community.
Assists with the identification of business and efficiency potentials
Builds relationships with key internal and external people to develop excellent collaboration and exchange of information.
Ensuring our brand, its look & feel is reinforced as a result of all change activity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and delivery on multiple IT projects whose scope includes IT, business change, organisational design and financial management, in order to add value to the business and enable delivery of BAU and business strategy. Projects will be varied in scope and generally be up to budgets of £1M, therefore providing multiple challenges and experiences.
