The HR function:
The HR function has a critical role to play in supporting MMU's change agenda and in recognition of this; we are seeking to recruit to our HR Business Solutions team. We have an opportunity for a proactive, innovative HR professional to play a key role in contributing to the delivery of leading edge HR practice.

The Role:
- Reporting to an HR Business Partner you will develop a thorough understanding of the current and future business objectives for a designated area of the University. Working in partnership with managers across the University you will use your proactive and innovative approach to identify the HR interventions needed to enable achievement of those objectives.

- Working as part of a team you will collectively and individually deliver a high quality, proactive, effective, efficient and timely HR advisory and support service for a designated area of the University.

- In order to deliver a high quality service you must keep abreast of best practice developments in human resource management and contribute to the amendment and development of HR policies to meet emerging needs.

- They will assist the HR Business Partners in providing an exemplar HR service to managers, which is fully cognisant of current and future business challenges, objectives and associated people requirements, proactively identifying opportunities where HR can add value.

The person:
- The ability to independently organise and manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision to a timely conclusion.

- The ability to proactively deliver a HR service to management.

- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation both face to face and in written format. - The ability to analyse complex information, form conclusions and communicate these findings in a clear and concise manner.

- Excellent partnership working skills with the ability to build credible relationships with managers to bring about business improvements.

- Ability to work using own initiative with a high level of accountability.
