Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 8.30 - 5.15 (45 minutes for lunch)
Friday: 8.30 - 1.30

Requirements for the role:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will work within a team to place orders on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Design & Manufacture, ensuring that they are 100% accurate and eliminating the risk for non compliance of the specification.

The successful candidate will support our Sales Team by attending site meetings as required; produce deviations and clarifications , review requests for non standard options and discuss these with OEM s to assess feasibility. In addition, the PSE will order lifts from OEM s, produce builders work drawings and present them promptly to the customer providing technical support to internal and external customers; follow up on order acknowledgements, adding the data to the in-house system.
They will also produce costing for variations with optimal accuracy.

BTEC ONC or HNC or equivalent in mechanical engineering, and at least 3 years experience working in the passenger lift industry in a similar role are essential to the role. The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, Word, Excel and have excellent communication skills.

PURPOSE
To place orders on OEM's and Design and Manufacture and to ensure that they are 100% accurate and do not put the business at risk for non compliance of the specification. All customers' are regularly and diligently informed of product changes so they are 100% clear in terms of the product(s) they are going to receive.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Provision

1. 1. Sales Support
To support the sales team by attending site meetings as required. The purpose of which is to discuss in more detail the product 'technical' specification as the enquiry could be for an existing lift shaft or it may be as per a customer requirement
To assist in the production of 'deviations & clarifications' as required by project, and review requests for non standard options and discuss with OEM's to assess feasibility

2. 2. Order lifts from OEM's
Review sales information and clarify any outstanding issues with salesman and/or customer, as sold.
Chase Architect for their drawings update OEM configurator with as sold specification, raise order on KBM and place order on OEM - so they can give us the drawings and chase OEM for their Builders Work Drawings (BWD)

3. 3. Produce builders work drawings
Produce OEM's builders work drawing and get them out to customers within 48 hours of receipt from the OEM
Resolve any builders work issues with both the client and OEM
Revise BWD's and communicate changes to the OEM

4. 5. Order acknowledgements
Chase OEM for their order acknowledgement and add data to the system (Lifts 2003)
Target times to be added based on OEM agreement

5. Variations
Produce costings for variations, update SSS with any specification changes and ensure KBM reflects correct order value and delivery requirements

6. Site support
Attend site meetings and carry out site surveys as required to assist the client and provide mechanical support for site installer and builder concerning issues arising from BWD's

7. Manufacturing instructions
In conjunction with the OEM Scheduler, ensure approvals are received in a timely manner to achieve required start on site dates
Always ensure OEM approvals reflect any changes required by client
Produce a list of material to be supplied (autodialler, fixings, special parts, barriers, etc).
Design any special items such as shaft fascias, full depth architraves etc. as required

8. Handover
Using the "project" risk category carry out a face-to-face handover of job in the C risk category to the Project Supervisor responsible for the project.

9. O&M Manuals

10. Maintain product technical files with up to date information and any technical bulletins from OEM's

11. Produce product data sheets as required by the business to support the sales team

12. Systems and process improvements - Constantly seek to improve work methods to streamline processes and minimise the potential for errors

13. Become involved with the OEM you are working with so that you contribute to continuous improvement projects
