CATEGORY LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / L&D MANAGER

LOCATION: South Yorkshire / National role

SALARY AND BENEFITS: £40,000 + Car + Benefits

SUMMARY:
Reporting into the Group L&D Manager this role is required to develop, implement and execute highly effective, pragmatic programmes that develop and support talent but at the same time keeping aligned with the Category business strategy.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

-Experience of working in FMCG and have worked in general manufacturing previously
-Must have worked in a customer driven organisation (where customers are demanding, ideally in retail, logistics, automotive, food manufacturing, manufacturing (where products have a short shelf life)
-Ideally have worked in an environment where products are private label
-Must have experience in multiple site environment
-A solid and successful track record and history of working in L&D delivery
-Degree relevant or 5 + years relevant working experience
-Previous management experience and budget responsibility
-Strong communicator, relationship builder, capable of partnering with HR Teams
-Capable of performing gap analysis, design and implementation of Training programmes
-Previous experience of rolling out and delivering L&D strategy across a business
-Must be a team player and although capable of delivering the required L&D service to the business must work closely with the HR Teams and Operations Teams to deliver L&D aligned to the business strategy

ROLE INFORMATION:

-The role primary function is to develop, deliver and execute a fit for purpose' business aligned L&D strategy ensuring the business has a skilled workforce capable of delivering the business strategy.
-The role will require working closely with Functional Heads and the HR Teams
-Develop and implement a highly effective L&D programme that supports talent
-Working closely with the HR Teams to assess and develop needs, perform gap analysis and design and implement programmes that build the required skills
-Deliver the Leadership Academy
-Work with the Group L&D Manager to support the L&D activities and programmes
-Develop communication and marketing methods to maximise L&D awareness
-Source and introduce the appropriate technologies and methods around L&D to support the Learning and Development Agenda
-Put in clear processes to ensure visibility, follow through, and reports on activities etc
-Measure, evaluate and report on all L&D activity
-Become a strong team player in the overall HR Team
