Role description
An opportunity has arisen for a procurement assistant who will be involved in all elements of the procurement process across two sites in the UK, with support to one in Ireland.

The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of procurement strategies designed to deliver significant cost and process improvements across specific and differing areas of procurement.

From North Wales on a day to day basis the procurement assistant will be involved in all elements of the procurement process including:

- Ensuring the delivery of best practice procurement in a manufacturing environment.
- Find and introduce cost efficiencies for different categories of spend across the business.
- Introduce and maintain supplier relationship management.
- Arrange service level agreements.
- Build a process to manage efficiency, compliance and benchmark best practice.
- Controlling and processing documentation in relation to procurement.
- Provide admin support to the procurement department.

Who we're looking for
Based primarily in North Wales a procurement assistant who can demonstrate:

- CIPS Certificate or working towards qualification desired.
- An understanding of procurement and purchasing strategies.
- Willingness to travel to other Divisional locations and suppliers.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision to achieve set goals.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, with good time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Results orientated and proactive with a strong commercial mindset.
