Global Commodity Director - Fantastic FTSE 100 Opportunity!

1st Executive are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global FTSE 100 manufacturing/engineering organisation. My client is currently in the middle of a major change and growth programme, and as such has created multiple vacancies at Senior Commodity Director Level.

THE ROLE

- Work with the global purchasing teams in a number of disparate operational companies to deliver a full analysis of the spend structure for the given category areas in order to determine and deliver a full Global commodity strategy.
- Build and manage robust working relationships with major suppliers to increase overall value of the Supply Chain for your commodities.
- Manage and improve supplier performance against a set of approved KPIs
- Identify and engage with senior stakeholders to improve the profile of the procurement and purchasing functions.

REQUIREMENTS

- You will be a proven procurement expert with experience of operating at a senior level in industry.
- Demonstrable depth of hands-on global commodity sourcing experience in a multi-site environment.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, aerospace, or similar industry sector.
- Ability to manage effective stakeholder relationships in a complex, multi-site environment.
- Ideally qualified to degree level or CIPS accredited.
- Able to do extensive global travel as part of the role.
