As an IT Supply Chain Manager you'll provide commercial support to Vodafone UK through end to end management of the procurement process for IT requirements, for high risk, high value procurement activity.
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
1.Liaising with the VPC (Vodafone Procurement Company) Category manager for categories where a Global category plan is applicable. Ensuring UK Operating companies views and requirements are understood during the strategy development and represent the UK Operating Company in any subsequent negotiations. Where regional opportunities exist, leading or liaising with other OpCos to develop a procurement strategy and deliver against the strategy.
2.Where a local category plan is applicable, developing a local procurement strategy (local category plan), with internal stakeholders, which seeks out business opportunities, capitalises on current market conditions and challenges business requirements. Leading supplier selection and negotiations
3.Managing the procurement process for key projects, ensuring the selection of suppliers with the capability to meet our needs, high service standards, efficient executions and competitive rates.
4.Leading complex commercial reviews and negotiations (including outsourcing deals) to identify and deliver:
oImproved standards of performance and contribution from suppliers
oEfficiency improvements
oAppropriate remuneration models achieving an effective alignment of competitive fees and incentives for exceptional performance against targets.
oCost savings opportunities and total cost of ownership
oIncremental value-add from the leading suppliers
5.Identifying and delivering commercial best practices and synergy benefits through effective collaboration with peers in other Operating Companies, and Global Supply Chain
6.Ensuring the appropriate use of innovative and alternative procurement methods across the range of requirements using e-business tools as required
7.Where applicable, leading the bi-annual Supplier Performance Measurement reviews, including stakeholders to drive improved performance, efficiency and contribution from the relationship. Create, agree and deliver continuous improvement and governance plans.
8.Driving SCM engagement with stakeholders to move towards a business partner role and heighten the profile of SCM
9.Managing relationship and stakeholder relations at all levels including senior stakeholders. Influencing, challenging and driving change to add incremental value.
10.Vendor management and strategic relationship management for local suppliers
Your Skills
In order to be successful in this role you will have:
oSignificant procurement experience in a multinational context
oDemonstrable procurement experience within the IT category - including hardware AND software
oExperience in contracts negotiation with the ability to lead complex high value negotiations
oCIPS qualification, ideally
oProficient knowledge of contract law
oProficient financial analysis skills, understanding of financial modelling, total cost of ownership and cost drivers
oExperience in strategic sourcing and supplier management
oBreadth and depth of experience of multiple services categories

This role requires someone with in-depth experience managing the procurement process within an IT Professional Services environment (hardware and software) - someone with the ability to influence and drive senior stakeholders through the procurement decision making process. The successful applicant will have exceptional relationship building skills and be seen as a trusted advisor on the Supply Chain team.
