We are presenting a very exciting opportunity for a Micro Space Planning Executive to join our established team. The Space Planning Team are responsible for creating and managing the Carphone Warehouse Trading Plan. The trading plan is a forward-looking summary of CPW's customer offers and promotions across the 3 trading categories - Cellular, Wireless and Accessories. The Space Planning team as part of the Supply Chain team are responsible for optimising the return on investment in space in our stores. The main focus of this role is to create and maintain Store layout plans otherwise known as plano grams and the space database for all store formats. You get to be creative and commercial at the same time and if you have a retail space design background thats a bonus!

Skills & Experience

Essential A working knowledge of Retail Macro Space Management processes. An understanding of store layout principles and product adjacencies. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work cross functionally/liaise with colleagues at all levels. Market Sector awareness. Strong organisational and time management skills. Able to work to tight deadlines. Ability to visualise 2 dimensional cad drawings. Working knowledge of Cad systems & experience of using CAD. (Not essential if from a retail background)Desirable Knowledge and experience of Micro Space Management processes. Store operations experience. Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel. Working knowledge of new store/ refit procedures. Working knowledge of Space Management software tools and experience of using such tools ( e.g. JDA).
