JOB PURPOSE:

- To manage and develop the business relationship with major Multiple customers
- To grow sales & profit forclient within major multiple customers

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

- To build & grow the business to business relationship with major multiple customers

- To maximise sales volume, sales value and profitability in Major Multiple customers in line with the stated aims of the Company and thecustomer business plan.

- To prepare and update annual Business Plans for Major Multiple customers as agreed with the SALES DIRECTOR - MULTIPLES.

- To achieve the agreed level of trading contribution (cash and percentage) as set by the SALES DIRECTOR - MULTIPLES

- To ensure via negotiation of pricing, credit terms, promotional programmes etc., that all sales and other relevant targets are met.

- Agree an effective promotional plan with Major Multiple customers in line with the brand calendar, and ensure that promotional spend is effective and evaluated regularly.

- To lead the introduction of new products for Major Multiple customers, preparing critical paths and ensuring all timescales, volumes and profit targets are met. (Note: The role carries the ultimate responsibility for making things happen in Major Multiple customers)

- To communicate and liaise with all other departments within clientto ensure efficient Forecasting and Supply Chain Management.

- To be constantly aware of, react to and be successful in taking advantage of opportunities in the market place whilst paying careful attention to competitor activity and reporting on all developments.

- To network and drive relationships with across all functions in Major Multiple customers

- To ensure monthly forecasts are put together in time and with sufficient effort and accuracy to provide the company with the opportunity to manage its stocks effectively.

- To write an annual account plan for Major Multiple customers

- Expenditure no more than £5,000
- Business plan to be signed off by Board

EXPERIENCE:

Graduate calibre

Employment with a Blue Chip FMCG organisation
Ideally have handled Major Multiple customers previously
Own label and brand experience
Full clean driving licence

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

- Numerate and commercially strong.
- Potential experience of National Accounts on both brand and own label.
- Track record of building customer relationships to win more business.
- Possession of excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of Nielsen/ IRI data and to be able to use it to identify and convert opportunities in your account.
- To be fully conversant with Category Management and its principles and how to use these to maximiseclients range, depth of distribution, merchandising, promotions.
- Drive, tenacity and ambition - be a winner.

Office based role

Must be within commuting distance of Moreton, Wirral, CH46 8XF

The Company reserves the right to amend or change the foregoing duties taking into account the jobholder`s qualifications/experience to enable the business needs to be met.

Two years minimum experience is a must.

Someone based in the North West would be preferrablebut this is not critical.
