Our client requires a Site Manager to join the team in Sellafield. This is for a 6 month rolling contract and the rate of pay is negotiable.
Job Description:
Ability to establish the work scope and programme quality standards for the successful execution of the contract.
Ability to ensure that all employees/subcontractors within his/her control are effectively managed and supervised, and are suitably skilled and experienced to complete the contract effectively. To control the deployment of labour.
Skills:
The ability to plan, organise, monitor and if necessary take corrective action to fulfil contractual requirements.
Leadership ability to build teams, resolve conflict, motivate, coach and develop supervisors/subordinates. Must be seen to lead by example.
Ability to effectively manage harmonious customer relations to ensure continued and increasing business.
Must be strategically focused and align decision with those of the client to those agreed in the business
Highly developed communication skills to effectively present and report orally and in writing to subordinates, management and client individually and collectively.
An appreciation and understanding of company IT systems and application of and apply all QHSE audits, management leadership tours and facilitate any corporate audits required self motivated, proven manager is required.
Key Responsibilities;
- To ensure that all site activities are completed in a safe and effective manner in accordance with statutory regulations and company and client requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with all company procedures for all site activities carried out.
- Deputise for Construction Management as required
- Establishing defined work scope, programme, quality standards and budget for successful completion of project and contract work scope.
- To ensure the staff complement, tradesmen and subcontractors have the requisite skill, qualifications and experience to carry out their functions in the contract.
- To ensure regular monitoring and/ or audit of the performance of all aspects of the operation to ensure successful outcome of the contract or take corrective action accordingly.
- To monitor and address working times issues.
- To ensure that the appropriate company management systems, work processes and procedures are complied with.
Ideal Qualifications:
Technical Apprenticeship and/ or ONC (equivalent) in technical subject.
IOSH or CCNSG Safety Passport
Preferred
P4 Pass
Relevant HNC/ Degree qualification
NEBOSH
ECITB Project Management Course (APMP or APM)
ECITB SMTDS/NVQ ¾ / ILM Equivalent
Ideal Experience:
Sufficient and appropriate experience in a supervisory / management role, ideally with extensive project management experience.
Significant and appropriate experience in Mechanical & Process Industry Sector, Nuclear sector experience would be a significant advantage. Experience of managing major EPC projects
