Background:
Frimley Park NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest Acute Trusts in the South East with exceptional performances being recognised by the healthcare commission as “excellent” for both Service Delivery and resource management, as well as being the first Trust to achieve the new NHS LA level 3 standard.

 This post has been created to establish a team of four Consultants in MAU to provide an Acute Service with Consultant presence five days per week from 8am until 10pm and will replace a Locum.
 
Holding membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent, you will have completed Specialist Training in General Medicine, or equivalent, and be accredited in either General Internal or Acute Medicine.

You will also hold full General Medical Council (GMC) registration, be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at the time of interview.
There is scope to maintain or develop other Sub Specialty Interests, which will complement existing special interests in the MAU Team and enhance the Delivery of Quality Care.

 One of the key roles of this appointment will be to assist in setting up MAU Clinics to prevent Admissions and facilitate Early Discharge.
