An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate IT Engineer based in London to join an expanding company to work in a team to take care of the company`s Corporate IT infrastructure (network, servers, workstations, laptops, printers, VTC, VoIP) including handling of support requests.
You will work closely with your colleagues to assist them with any current projects, and help to develop to company`s IT systems.

This is for a 6 month fixed term contract.

As a Corporate IT Engineer your duties will include:

- Supporting Senior Corporate IT Infrastructure Engineer in maintaining & developing all in-house IT systems (including LAN, WAN, VOIP infrastructure, conferencing, desktop, server & in-house network systems).
- Operating, updating and developing monitoring solutions to ensure system health.
- Being responsible for 1st line network support issues via ticket-based system.
- Leading problem solving of customer issues and establish and maintain key support processes.
- Supporting colleagues in ongoing project work.
- Documentation and re-evaluation of existing processes with a view to gaining efficiency.
- Requirement for out of hours work.

An ideal Corporate IT Engineer will hold the following skills and experiences:

- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Extensive Microsoft OS support experience including Windows 7 and server 2003/08/12, with a history of using AD and configuring Group Policies.
- Previous experience of supporting Microsoft Office is essential.
- Must be good with people & able to deal effectively with customers either face to face, or on the phone, in a professional manner.
- Experience of software imaging and builds using Symantec Ghost, WDS, or similar.
- Have proven technical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- A good understanding of VoIP, IP networking, TCP/IP and connectivity, including switches, routers and firewalls.
- Ability to handle a varied and high workload, including support calls and projects, and able to prioritise effectively.
- Must be quick to pick up new skills.
- The ability to work well in a team along with the possession of good communication skills is essential.
- Good understanding of Storage and virtualization.
- Involvement in IT purchasing, software and asset register audits.
- Experience with VMware virtualisation technology.
- Industry certifications (MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, MCTP, etc) and would be highly desirable.
- Experience of dealing with external network providers (i.e. BT, C&W, COLT).
- Maintenance of Cisco IP Telephony and Voicemail systems would be an advantage.
- Experience with support of Video Conferencing solutions.

- Fluent English speaker.

In return you will receive a salary of £25,000 - £28,000 per annum plus Benefits.
