Isaac Newton Academy opened in September 2012 in Ilford, East London, in brand new, purpose-built accommodation. The Academy has been carefully designed with ARK’s philosophy in mind and has facilities and resources to support a rich and diverse 21st century curriculum. It will have an intake of 180 year 7 pupils each year. When full, in 2018, there will be 1,250 pupils (900 11 – 16 year olds and 350 sixth formers).  In 2014 the primary phase will welcome 90 reception-aged pupils.  This too will expand each year until full in 2020.

We are currently looking to recruit to the following role for a September 2013 start:

Pastoral Administrator

Band 3 (£15,615 to £17,484) pro rata, 36 hours a week, 41 weeks per annum (term time only plus 2 weeks)

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative support service to the Pastoral Team, together with ensuring the smooth running of the student reception area, dealing with all student enquiries and being the first point of contact for first aid issues.

Our ideal candidate will:

have experience of undertaking administrative tasks within an office environment
have experience of working on a busy reception
have strong teamwork, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
have a first aid qualification or willingness to undertake a first aid qualification.
