Our client is a global Engineering, Procurement, Management & Construction Company with operations in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa. They operate within various engineering industries such as Oil &Gas, Energy, Industrial, Infrastructure and the construction of large commercial buildings.

Due to growth our client currently requires Principal Process Commissioning Engineers for a large Gas development project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Requirements:
-A bachelor degree or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
-Experience in process design and optimization in the oil and gas industry at senior level. Commissioning, start-up and process unit performance test run experience are preferred.
-Proficient in Hysys process simulation.
-Work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment.
-Good command of written and spoken English.
-Candidates with Field Commissioning experience are preferred
 
Responsibilities:
-Review EPC Contractor updates on P&IDs, Utility Calculations, Performance Test Run Procedure, Start-up Sequence Logic, Process Control Documents, Process Unit Operating Manuals and HAZOP Action Item Close-out.
-Review EPC Contractor commissioning procedures and method statements related to process equipment.
-Review EPC Contractor start-up sequence and procedures in respect to start-up gas, start-up condensate and start-up NGL utilization.
-Participate pre-start-up HAZOP review.
-Review all engineering deliverables prepared by EPC Contractor in respect to process and controls.
-Respond to technical queries from EPC Contractor and others, as deemed necessary in respect to process. Ensure safe, economic and technically sound decisions in all project phases.
-Review requests for Design Deviations / Concession Requests proposed.
-Verify that all process deliverables are completed correctly and satisfactorily.
-Review technical content of claims for changes in the EPC Contract.
-Handle process simulations & calculations and prepare optimization, summaries or reports where necessary.
-Participate IN control logic and documentation as-built.
-Fully understand the company HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to area of responsibility. Ensures that work under control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
-Provide process expertise during the MOC process
-Follow up with the EPC Contractor, the commissioning and start-up planning and progress in daily basis.
-Provide on-site process engineering consultation during construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning stage. Full involvement during the performance test run for the plant.
-Participate in the training & development of assigned UAE national employees in the project.
-Performs additional work activities as directed by line manager.

This role is based in Dubai on a rotation of 12 week on and 2 weeks off. Food, accommodation and flights are also covered by our client. You will not be paid for annual leave however; on the completion of 12 months you will be paid 30 days leave on top of your normal monthly basic.
