Senior Technical Manager required by one of the South East's most pioneering residential developers. This leading national house builder is seeking an exceptional Senior Technical Manager to manage all pre construction activities on a number of housing projects in Essex and the surrounding areas.

Candidates will report directly to the Technical Director and in time will be responsible for motivating and managing a small team and external consultants.

The successful applicant will be responsible for value engineering throughout the pre construction stages, chairing design meetings, as well as providing suitable technical and design solutions prior to the project starting on site, when it will be delivered by one of the technical managers.

Candidates must have a minimum of HND in a construction or a design related topic and will have worked extensively on new build projects over 100 units.

The role ideally requires candidates who have worked for residential developers, or possibly contractors, and who are experienced with high volume schemes including traditional and rc frame build. Steel and timber frame experience would be desirable but not a requirement of the job.

Although candidates are preferred with developer or contractor experience, candidates may also be considered if they are from an architectural, engineering or surveying background.
