A leading beauty manufacturing organisation is looking for an Account Manager to manage assigned development accounts to maximise customer satisfaction and develop further business within the account.

My client is a fast growing Health and Beauty manufacturing business within the field of toiletries, pharmaceutical, medical device and nutritionals. They cover a range of categories within the Beauty arena including body care, skincare, hair care and styling. The Account Executives work with a variety of blue chip, high street retailers and brand owners across premium markets mainly within the UK, although their customer portfolio is global in sales.

This role will give the right candidate exposure to a wide variety of disciplines and client environments as well as giving them the opportunity to develop industry and market knowledge across a breadth of categories.

Key Responsibilities -

-Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
-Regularly meet with assigned Customers' and ensure a high level of interaction and visibility with the customer.
-Responsible for hosting customer visits and site tours.
-Work with the Sales & Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities for business within new and existing ranges.
-Creation of Annual Account Plans to identify and develop nominated accounts, to be reviewed on a monthly basis.
-Work closely with the Technical and Operational Teams to understand how on-going investment can complement and improve customers product ranges.
-Work with the NPI Manager & Project Managers to manage the new product introduction process for given customers, including critical path management and all aspects of the new product introduction process.
-Assist in the management of pre-production trials and samples, press samples and Production standards etc.
-Carry out costing's and price reviews, negotiating and providing quotes to Customers.
-Lead and manage annual cost reviews for given customer base.
-Lead and manage Value Engineering Projects for given customer base.
-Work with the Customer Demand Manager to review OTIF and Service Level.
-Maintain customer files and customer status reports.
-Ensure that all required customer information is maintained and kept up-to-date.
-Keep the customer updated with actions relating to any complaints or quality issues.
-Monitor and report progress in account to track against forecast / budget
-Keep up-to-date with customers markets / trends, to ensure the customers' business is understood.
-Carry out other associated projects and duties as determined by the Sales & Business Development Manager or Sales & Business Development Director.

Personal Traits & Skills (in no specific order)

-A strong interest within the Health and Beauty Industry!
-Experience in New product introduction/product development/brand management
-Experience of a manufacturing base environment
-Good verbal communication and Good interpersonal skills at all levels of the business both internally and externally
-An understanding of the importance of both internal and external customer care and the means by which it is achieved
-Ability to work individually or as an interchangeable member of a small team.
-Flexibility - ability to react and respond positively to changes in priority and workload.
-Ability to retain focus and maintain a calm demeanour under pressure.
-Ability to use computerised information systems, input, retrieve and manage Customer accounts.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
