The EY Human Capital Global Mobility practice provides services to a wide range of organisations based in the UK, EMEIA and globally. Our service offering includes the outsourced management of assignment programmes for our clients (preparation of assignment documents (such as cost estimates, balance sheet calculations, payroll instructions and assignment letters); providing a principal point of contact for our clients; coordination of related compliance and relocation services), consulting on policy and process; transition and transformation support; and supplier review and management.
Role:
The Global Mobility Specialist will be responsible for:
Preparation and review of assignment documentation (cost estimates, balance sheets, letters of assignment, etc) including the calculation of assignment compensation
Ongoing assignee contact in relation to their assignment, including policy and compensation briefings
Regular client contact with HR to support case management and compliance
Compliance and relocation supplier coordination
Global Mobility policy development support and review of related processes
Consulting support in relation to new or changing Global Mobility programmes
Reporting and billing

The Global Mobility Specialist will be expected to develop and demonstrate:
A full understanding of the assignment life-cycle and scope specifically relating to their client(s)
The ability to create and implement process improvements and promote best practice
The ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of client specific policies to deliver advice to the corporate client and assignee population
An understanding of expatriate compensation and benefits planning, payroll and pension issues, and the ability to explain / justify the methodology behind calculations and their application
An understanding of relocation issues and the services provided for under client policy
The ability to identify potential tax and social security issues in the development and application of assignment policy and the review of standard assignment documentation
An understanding of the importance of quality and Risk Management within EY
An ability to provide clear and concise written and verbal technical advice
An understanding of the corporate challenges involved in international assignments
A technical test will make up part of the selection process.
