Key Account Sales Manager
Peterborough
We are looking to recruit an experienced sales manager for our national engnieering consumables client working from their Peterborough offices
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To develop and build long term business partnerships with existing customers and actively seeking and developing new customer accounts.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* · Working within a structured sales environment
* · Developing and building long term business partnerships with existing customers
* · Actively seeking and developing new customer accounts
* · Offering customer technical solutions as and when required
* · Ensuring high level of customer satisfaction at all times
* · Contributing to the maintenance of health and safety in the workplace
* · Generating new business in line with set targets
* · Understanding industry sectors of the target new accounts
* · Relating products, opportunities and benefits to any new industry sectors
* · Establishing primary and secondary objectives
* · Completion of sales reporting as required

* · Capability to understand twin business model and align strategy with the assigned customers

* · Understanding of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet structures

* · Knowledge of Stock Management principles and systems
* · Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
* · Ability to prepare and deliver management information within required deadlines

* · Understand how our clients products adds value to its customer and articulate this to assigned customers
* · Ability to identify, deliver and document engineering and commercial benefit savings for customers
* · Where change is recommended to customers, ability to assist with the change management process
* · Ability to leverage successful projects that results in new business opportunities or increased customer retention
* · Ability to effectively manage and implement projects
* · Ability to resolve conflict with mutually beneficial outcomes to our clients customers
Operational
* · Good knowledge of some or all categories of Maintenance, Repair and Operational product and service range
* · Ability to effectively manage sales, margin and customer price savings to achieve profitability targets
* · Ability to identify, justify and deliver optimised stock levels within overall contract commitments
* · Effectively manage time and territory in order to maximise opportunities and minimise costs
* · Good knowledge of OEM markets and applications
QUALIFICATIONS, SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
* Knowledge of Industrial Consumables / MRO market and products and their applications
* GCSE (or equivalent) English Language and Mathematics.
* Modern technical or commercial apprenticeship, A level or relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent
* ·Knowledge and level of proficiency in the use of IT software packages required
* Proficient user of windows based programmes. Experience of fully integrated system based sales order processing and stock management systems. Essential
