Key accountabilities:
- The Project Manager typically manages projects with a low to medium weighting /complexity/ value / risk/ team size etc and will be expected to be able to deliver B, C & D category projects and/or work streams with minimal support. This will predominantly be delivery under commercial engagement with a customer although it can also be within a pre-sales/bid team.
- The Project Manager will typically have detailed tangible experience of managing projects in a Project Delivery Environment
- This role requires flexibility to engage with multiple customer and internal business units, consequently this role requires mobility to travel to customer sites and other locations, International travel may also be required, however reasonable notice will be given where possible.
- The Project Manager will be capable of providing support and guidance to more inexperienced project managers and foundation project managers as required. They must have a structured approach to delivery of often unique solutions and demonstrate a thorough appreciation of and adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
- The Project Manager will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in delivery of software design, hardware implementation and development projects through to service implementation and/or transition projects. This role will also be expected to provide input and/or support for bids in pursuit of new opportunities
Duties and Responsibilities
Leads medium complexity projects B,C &D
Plans, steers and is responsible for the project regarding time/ quality and cost.
Plans and organizes the project in alignment with the customer and the relevant departments
Ensuring that project is implemented
Ensures that an agreed change management process within the project is in place with the Sponsor
Implements escalation management internal and towards customer
Assures the successful passing of any projects stages or quality gates both internal and with the customer
Assures delivery and billing in line with the business case
Ensuring formalization and acceptance of the project(s) and /or work package scope
Implementation of Project /Financial and Schedule controls.
Controlling the project to the agreed business case.
Determining the information and communications needs of the stakeholders: who needs what information, when they will need it and how it will be given to them.
Managing, monitoring and control risks - monitoring residual risk, identifying new risk, executing risk reduction plans and evaluating their effectiveness s throughout the project(s) life cycle.
Issue, dependency and assumption management - tracking and management of critical contractual obligations to support project closure
Active management of acceptance criteria
Project reporting in line with client and company governance requirements
Proactively and timely management of project resources to ensure successful project outputs
Full project scope and change management to protect project baseline
Skills/Experience Required
Significant demonstrable of project management experience in a project delivery environment
Displays a willingness to align to and support the PM profession
Is a member of a recognised PM body and is certified to a practitioner level
In depth experience in Project Management disciplines and practices
Good negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
Highly network oriented and hands-on working style
Good communication - written, verbal and presentation skills (on executive level)
Exhibiting tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive customer issues
Good organizational and time management skills
First leadership experience will be an advantage
Ability to work across organizations and company boundaries with supervision
High spirit of innovation
Strongly result-oriented way of working

Customer Management - has the confidence and skills to communicate effectively to the customers project manager
Business development - has the potential to identify business opportunities through the project delivery and by working with the customer
Negotiating Skills - can negotiate project change controls
Contract management - accountable for managing to the scope of the project
Finance
P&L Management - has experience of managing and controlling a project budget on all types of projects Fixed priced, T&M, cost plus.
Strong Fiscal project control to manage the baseline and report accurately AC, FCAC and project margins
Budget & Forecast Planning - can forecast project estimates to complete and control
Measurement & Reporting - completed complex/reporting for a range of customers and is competent at presenting these to senior management
Change Management - has experience in cost and budget management with the ability to manage change
