Role Profile
Cast UK are currently supporting forward thinking, dynamic procurement business based in the West Midlands with the recruitment of a Senior Category Manager. The successful candidate will strategically manage a team of procurement professionals delivering the best value for my client and its customer base.
The team's key responsibilities include:
* Ongoing benchmarking exercises
* Continual development of categories
* Development of high levels of category strategy
* Ensuring all category development supports global strategy
* Indirect procurement experience
* Demonstrate understanding of public sector purchasing practices
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience in purchasing consortia
* Ability to lead procurement team
* Strong commercial awareness
* Proven man management skills
* Strong communication skills
* Experience in a public sector procurement environment (desirable)
* Degree qualification
* CIPS qualification
