Our client is a leading Pharmaceutical and Medical Device company with an extensive product range within the Vision Care market. They currently have a very exciting opportunity working as a Trade Market Manager to join their team in Surrey.
Candidate background:
Educated to degree level or similar
Minimum 3 years' experience in a trade marketing or customer marketing FMCG role
Thorough understanding of FMCG environment with exposure to a variety of retail accounts
Track record of delivering added value trade marketing campaigns with demonstrable ROI
Strong presentation skills
Knowledge of a variety of shopper marketing & POS tactics
FMCG key account management experience at a minimum of National Account Executive level
Ability to influence key accounts at buyer level
Experience in managing 3rd party agencies
Strong analytical skills and ability to understand data
Retail operations experience and/or understanding would be preferred
Budget management
Demonstrable project management experience
Role responsibilities:
To be the specialist on the total UK optical key account channel including possessing market and category knowledge relevant to the channel.
To develop channel promotional plan in conjunction with Head of Key Accounts
Full ownership for tactical delivery of all trade marketing initiatives in key accounts in association with BAM
Awareness of all trade marketing opportunities available in each key account thereby allowing collaborative way of working with account and BAM
Attendance at key account meetings to add value through identifying opportunities and recommending appropriate marketing tactics
Key member of strategic account CBTs
Aid in communication of activity of key account activity to field sales team
Monitor; evaluate and record competitor trade activity within the channel
Create and deliver insight driven presentations to key accounts to address bespoke commercial issues
Organise production of customer specific and branded launch presentations and materials in conjunction with relevant brand manager
Management of all POS initiatives in key account channel including liaison with brand manager and briefing of creative agency.
Evaluation and management of promotional activity
Liaise with 3rd party suppliers in creation of materials
To work closely with the Category Manager to provide category and shopper insights to drive key account channel performance
Support BAMs in creation of annual joint business plans for each account by aligning to brand and category plans
