Procurement supplier selection support specialist required by a leading client in London. To provide data analyse support and administration services to one of the client's main business unit's procurement and buyer's team.
Analysing numerical and written data received back from RFI's, and identify opportunities for cost savings and or/new supplier contracts.
Role and Accountabilities:
* Provide support for the strategic sourcing processes as follows:
* Supplier assessment and due diligence (including financial and capability assessment)
* Pre-qualification of suppliers for participation in procurement activities
* Market analysis for specific categories and commodities to identify supplier activity, price, performance etc
* Provide analytical support and drive consistency during the supplier selection and screening processes as follows:
* Support the Procurement teams to create and analyse Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals.
* Prepare Non Disclosure Agreements for specific procurement activities
* Manage the e-auction process and prepare the framework for the content of each event. Support the operation of the e-auction and provide background information on the system capabilities and the features of different types of e-auction
* Provide a consolidated view of all supplier responses and support the scoring of the responses in line with agreed criteria and participate in the final supplier selection
* Prepare and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports to pre-determined timescales
* Regular reporting of expenditure by category, market or business unit, supplier etc
* Supplier performance /KPI reports
* Procurement pipeline activity and achievement of savings opportunities
* Support the capabilities and use of the Bravo Global Procurement system for all users in the procurement teams and in all market units:
* Manage access controls for all users
* Monitor the consistency and completeness of data and report discrepancies
* Provide advice regarding capabilities and functionality
* Manage system upgrade projects
Skills and Experience required.
* One year experience of working in a contract tendering and supplier selection environment
* Effective communication at all levels with good interpersonal skills and the ability to create strong supporting relationships with internal customers. A customer service ethic is imperative.
* Proven numeracy skills and the drive to work with attention to detail
* The ability to analyse data and use problem solving techniques to determine the best course of action
* The ability to manage their own workload to a consistently high standard and to promote team work with other Sourcing Support Specialists
