The Role:
An incredibly diverse cradle to the grave design, development (and potentially management) role, where you will be involved in the design and development of cutting edge products. You will be part of a growing design team and depending on your experience, you could take full charge over multiple projects at any one time. You should be able to deliver absolute quality through all stages of the process up to manufacture. You will lead 2D and 3D concept design, tooling design, specification generation, preparation of BOMs, prototyping and DFM, among other things.

What you need to have:

- Ideally a 2.1 / 1st class degree or similar qualification in mechanical engineering.
- Relevant industry experience would be preferable but is not essential, particularly if you are a graduate.
- You must be confident in 3D CAD and ideally ProE / Wildfire.
- You should have a good grasp of manufacturing processes and experience in the the design of new products / tooling.
- Experience in a creative and conceptual environment.
- Strong grasp of mathematics / applied mathematics.
- Ability to design in 3D and produce associated 2D drawings.

Personality:

You need to be a self motivated, dynamic and personable character, with an eye for detail.
