This subsidiary company is a part of India's largest and best-known recording and music publishing company. They have been intimately associated with the development of Indian music from the time the first recording was made on Indian soil.

They are looking for a go getter individual who is as passionate about music as they are.
They own the largest repertoire of Indian digital music that is available on a number of websites, apps and other platforms worldwide.
The candidate will need a good understanding of music consumption on web and of current and emerging trends.
The candidate will be expected to identify potential business opportunities and advise on any action that may be required to maximize revenues.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain strong direct relationships with Web Music Stores and Aggregators with a particular emphasis on the growing business
- Lead the strategy and planning for key content categories and initiatives.
- Define, analyze and communicate key metrics for management and partners.
- Negotiate contracts and track partnerships through lifecycle.
- To manage all operational aspects of their digital aggregator (DA) for territory of world ex India.
- Candidate will be responsible for all day to day interaction with DA and will ensure that all their assets are placed via the DA on online retail stores and also ensure proper ingestion of assets under proper quality controls
- Ensure proper merchandising on key retail sites
- Work with head of operations in developing and executing A&R strategy
- Meet yearly budgets set by the mgmt for the business
- Candidate will also make direct relationships with key retail stores i.e. iTunes, spotify, deezer etc and ensure that their content gets best possible placement
- Should be hands on, passionate about music, self driven and have extreme hunger to get things done; must be able to perform under pressure and strict timelines

Desired Skills & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in any stream.
- A General Knowledge of Indian Music and Culture
- Proven experience of working for a music label or with a content aggregator handling Business Development and Client Relationship
- Outstanding Communication Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
