Procurement Specialist

Advantage Resourcing are currently working with a leading Global Oil & Gas company who are looking to recruit an experienced Operational Procurement Specialist for an exciting 12 month interim role based in Brentford, Middlesex with travel to Iraq !

£470 per day with a 40% uplift for time spent in Iraq

You'll deliver professional procurement, expediting and requisition support of materials and services for the region, acting as a liaison for the procurement process. The Operational Procurement Specialist has an awareness of all strategies as well as compliance requirements. The Operational Procurement Specialist Coordinates with business personnel involved in scheduling/tracking/monitoring material movements and the use of services and engages with stakeholders.

Accountabilities include:
- Supports the implementation of standard tools, systems and processes
- Ensures consistent and efficient day-to-day procurement transaction and delivery of services and materials, including call-offs (incl. POs) and material coordination.
- Accountability in liaising with business stakeholders for allocated commodities & services.
- Development of supplier management process & relationships with key Suppliers
- Work with the Contracting & Compliance team to ensure effective use of Compliance tools and processes
- Assist the Developments Procurement Manager in coordinating the roll-out of new processes and tools
- Accountability along with Category Leads in liaising with business stakeholders for allocated commodities & services.
- Works with local PSCM specialists in expediting & issue resolution.

The ideal candidate will have experience within Procurement in an Oil & Gas environment and will be CIPS qualified (or equivalent) with strong stakeholder management skills.
