My client has a great opportunity for a full time permanent position of Service Engineer to work on Agricutural machinery, such as Tractors, harvesters and Sprayers and Bailers.
Duties are as follows.
Dagnose and rectify faults Provide detailed information for invoicing and warranty returns
Assist Service Manager to schedule and organise work schedules Liase with customers regarding repair and service requirements
Road test tractors to determine fault or confirm rectification
Prepare job cards with detailed information to create service history
To work within current H & SE legislation and recognise the risk assessment of each job
Resolution of customer issues quickly and efficiently
Complete warranty returns to parts department Order parts required
Attend to equipment failures on site
Attend training courses as agreed
Carry out additional duties as requested and agreed
Ensure that the workshop is maintained clean and tidy
Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and stored
Oversee apprentice training in conjunction with college requirements
Prepare estimates for sales department, customers and insurance companies
Offer technical advice within the company
Maintain the image and goodwill of the company
