An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading brand name television organisation as a Non-Live Programmer. You will manage the show and airtime allocation across all non-live channels to maximise sales and create the best possible viewing experience. Utilising history from live and non live channels, days will be built to hit predefined forecasts.

Responsibilities:
This role oversees all channels and will aim to plan a holistic schedule, making the most of category mix across all channels including live channels. Working closely with merchandising and broadcasting teams, you will be expected to explore new concepts, add them to the schedule and monitor their success.

You will ensure days are going to hit targeted sales, making necessary amendments to achieve goals, maintain and update the weekly programming schedule to ensure that relevant areas of the business receive timely and accurate information. You will monitor the future schedule program line-up to identify and highlight any issues with show performance, manage non live schedules making changes and updating website where necessary

You will work closely with live programming team to look for changes in the live schedule and ensure synergy between live and non-live schedules. You will regularly meet with the relevant internal teams (Programming, Planning and Buying teams in particular) to ensure awareness and understanding of the schedule and future airtime use. You will be required to put together regular reports and therefore previous use of reporting systems and producing effective and timely reports is key.

Requirements:
All candidates must have experience within a corporate retail or wholesale merchandising environment. You must be able to demonstrate strong scheduling and decision making skills for a product area or department you are/were responsible for. You will be knowledgeable on a variety of product categories and have a strong commercial awareness.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, as well as strong planning and organisational skills, combined with the ability to think creatively and commercially across a broad range of customer categories and goods. Excellent analytical and numerical skills are essential. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are key. You will work to tight deadlines, and you must be confident that you can prioritise, successfully manage your time and workload with minimal supervision, whilst working in a fast paced and 'live' commercial environment.
