Tendring Technology College is a key member of The Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), a multi-Academy sponsor which aims to provide the opportunity for all young learners to fulfil their real potential, broaden their horizons and become active, prosperous and successful citizens in the world around them. Tendring Technology College is a large successful 11-18 mixed Technology Centre, which has two campuses; Frinton Campus (KS4 & KS5 (Sixth form), ages 14-18) and Thorpe Campus (KS3 ages 11-14). At the most recent Ofsted inspection carried out in September 2013, Tendring Technology College was graded as 'outstanding' in all categories.

The College welcomes all children who would cope with and benefit from a mainstream secondary curriculum. Students with particular special educational needs are supported as appropriate by extra help in lessons, by having some tuition in small groups, and in some cases by personal tuition. Students with physical disabilities are given every possible support and encouragement to achieve access to the mainstream curriculum. All students with special educational needs participate fully and we believe successfully, in the College community throughout their time here.

We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to work in partnership with class teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures. You will support the work of the SENCo, contribute to planning, development and decision making and undertaking related admin duties.

The successful candidates will have previous experience of working with young people and will have English and Maths GCSE at level 'C' or above.

As the sponsor, the AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners - to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them. In each of the AET academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes. You will also be offered membership of a private health cash plan, the Ford Advantage Scheme and be entitled to Childcare Vouchers.

These positions are required to commence January 2014. Interviews are scheduled to take place week
commencing 25 November 2013.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response. All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.

Each of the academies within the AET is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts.
