THE OPPORTUNITY: Are you a procurement professional with a proven track record managing indirect services? Are you looking for a challenge where you can immediately add value to the bottom line? If the answer is yes to either of these questions then you might be interested to hear more about an interim Category Manager post I am looking to recruit.

THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To lead in the delivery of an effective and flexible procurement process
* To manage specific category areas of spend
* To identify areas to make cost savings
* Stakeholder management
* To negotiate new contracts as required

EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

The position is working for a public sector organisation and whilst experience working in this area would be advantageous, candidates who have a private sector background are welcomed to apply.

Candidates should also have experience in the following areas:

* Procurement background buying services
*An appreciation of category management procurement
*Proven track record delivering savings
*Good interpersonal skills
