As a result of growth we are looking for a new Category Manager/Hotel expert to join the team, where you will be tasked with providing specialist Hotel product expertise both internally and externally, provide strategic support to the account management team on all Hotel Product related projects, RFP's and tasks to ensure income opportunities are maximised, and seek opportunities to increase income from Hotel and RFP consultancy service offerings with new and existing customers.
To be considered for this role, we are looking for experts within the Hotel and Conference/Meeting industry, how possess strong knowledge of products and services within this remit. The ideal candidate will have a consultative approach, and possess proven commercial and negotiation skills.
Please note that this role will require extensive travel across the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist, Hotel Product expertise both internally and externally
- Provide strategic support to the Account management team on all Hotel Product related RFP's, projects and tasks, ensuring TTV and income opportunities are maximised
- Provide thought leadership and market intelligence with best practise recommendations in the hotel product arena
- Seek and communicate opportunities to increase income from Hotel Programme Optimisation and RFP consultancy services with existing and new customers
- Assist the Head of Hotel Product with the shaping and communication of hotel product strategy, both now and in the future, ensuring relevancy, profitability and timely delivery.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience of working in the corporate hotel/accommodation sector
- Strong ability to negotiate with suppliers and clients and at different levels of the organisation
- Proven knowledge of the Hotel industry specialism's, products and services
- Experience of working as an Account Director or Account Manager within the industry, working with large corporate companies
- Ability to deliver high-level customer presentations and contract reviews/negotiations
- Experience of creating and implementing strategic Business Plans
