JK Foods is a family run business with over 35 years' experience within the Asian and Oriental food marketplace. As part of the Hyperama PLC group, the business has strong financial backing and operates out of their Nottingham head office with other offices across the world. The company imports a wide range of products that are distributed throughout the UK via the foodservice and retail channels. JK Foods' own brand, Tiger Tiger, has quickly established a reputation for superior quality and is growing quickly within the mainstream retail market. As a result, the business have now created a senior opening within the business for a Business Unit Controller to grow and develop the well-respected brand in the grocery multiples.

Role
As Business Unit Controller you will take full responsibility for developing the Tiger Tiger brand within Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, J Sainsbury and Waitrose. Given the ever changing and fast-paced nature of the category, innovation and new product development will be central to your role. You will operate at a strategic level and be capable of identifying and then taking advantage of the numerous opportunities that exist within each account. Furthermore, you will be expected to work with the retail buyers on joint business plans and initiatives to drive the category forward. You will report to and work closely with the Managing Director, so you can expect decisions to be made quickly, as well as a degree of autonomy to influence the business unit and build the Tiger Tiger brand.

Requirements
To be considered for this role you must be a driven and dynamic individual with a proven track record of growing and developing branded business within the grocery multiples. The successful candidate will have great relationship management skills, extensive exposure to category management and have the gravitas to influence customers at a senior level. As for product background, experience within the ambient category is preferred but not essential. My client is looking for a loyal individual that wants to be a part of the company's long term plans and growth strategy for the Tiger Tiger brand. As for location, you will need to be within commutable distance to their head office in Nottingham.
