Inventory Planner

We are recruiting for an Inventory Planner to join a successful business. This is a permanent job opportunity to be based in Essex.

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Experience working in a Planning or Inventory Control position
- Experienced in Oracle or SAP
- Good negotiation experience
- Broad commercial awareness developed in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to manage multiple work streams effectively
- Effective communicator with a proactive approach to problem solving and excellent time management skills
- Proven ability to influence and make an impact internally and externally
- Ability to absorb and use data to drive decisions
- Strong team-player
- Self-motivation and enthusiasm
- Highly analytical, flexible, self-motivated, action and results orientated individual
- Proficiency in forecasting
- Excellent numeric ability (including competency with MS Excel & MS Access)
- Proven track record of accountability, inventory management and replenishment processes
- CPIM and/or CIPS would be advantageous

Job Description:

- Responsible for analysing inventory levels to review demand forecasting by using statistical based tools to maintain assigned department or category levels
- Maximise fill rates and minimise lost sales
- Review sales trends and implement procedures and processes to support seasonal/transitional strategies
- Increase inventory turns to deliver maximum product availability in all categories.
- Manage vendor partner relationships through effective monitoring of performance, communicating and resolving issues efficiently
- Co-ordinate and communicate product, supplier, business changes with all relevant stakeholders
- Drive system/process improvements in working with vendor partners on order management, vendor operations and inventory management
- Maintain a close and productive working relationship with category managers
- Ensuring all savings that are achieved in the business are recorded.
- Proficient management of company funding to support vendor retail activity
- Work collaboratively across all internal divisions to ensure all vendor/brand opportunities are taken
- Engage across entire business to maintain internal processes and communication
- Work with line manager to prepare and present monthly category/vendor reviews

Salary circa £25,000 plus benefits
