This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sales & Marketing Team of a dynamic and vibrant online retailer, specialising in Bathrooms, Heating, Tools & Garden Products, Renewable Energy products and Sport Injury goods.

They are looking for a Merchandiser to join their Merchandising team to take responsibility for the setup and optimisation of product listings on their websites. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to proficiently use their in-house systems therefore some technical ability will be expected, although training will be provided.

This is an entry level position working within a team of Merchandisers and reporting into the Merchandising Team Leader. There is the opportunity to learn about various aspects of eCommerce within this role.

The successful candidate will help maintain solid working relationships with their Product Managers and offer on-going support in relation to all product listings across all sites. The applicant will be required to have a positive attitude, be a good communicator and be prepared work under tight, stressful deadlines, whilst maintaining impeccable attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Setting up, maintaining and optimising products using the in-house administration system and the Magento Enterprise system, to go on sale across the company's family of website brands.
- Category tree set up and amendments.
- Supplier details set up and amendments.
- Liaising with Product Managers and providing strategic input to ensure their products are marketed online to their full potential.
- Work with the Conversion Optimisation team to ensure the category tree is user friendly and the product details are accurately and clearly displayed, to provide as much detail to the customer as possible, and positively impact conversions.
- Organise workload and prioritise tasks.
- Adhere to documented processes within the team regarding product upload procedures.
- Support the Team Leader and other Merchandisers where required.

Key Skills/Experience:

- Strong organisational, communication, analytical and administration skills.
- Able to work to deadlines and demonstrate commercial awareness.
- Computer literate to a high standard, to include Microsoft Office programs such as Excel.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly.
- eCommerce experience desirable.
- Experience of Magento systems desirable.
- Merchandising background desirable.
- Conversion Optimisation / User Experience knowledge desirable.
- Knowledge of HTML would be an advantage.
- Basic image editing knowledge in particular Fireworks and Photoshop software would be desirable.
- European language skills desirable.

Qualifications/Experience:

- Degrees relating to marketing, computing, maths, business are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in online commercial business verticals.
- Analytical/administration experience in a fast paced, sales driven environment.
