Scope of the Role
We are seeking a Packaging Buyer based from either of our UK locations (Haddenham Buckinghamshire or Littleborough, Rochdale) responsible for a $20 million spend, responsible for several categories including glass.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
*Responsible for several categories of packaging, for a total spend of $20M, circa 50 suppliers, 2 sites in UK and from time to time incorporating McCormick requirements in France and other sites
*Measured largely on CCI, budget forecast accuracy, support of the business innovation pipeline, and effectiveness of X-functional collaboration
*Act in a timely, efficient way to support the McCormick business and internal customers
*Develops sourcing plans for key spend items. This includes looking outside of own responsibilities to leverage scale and best practice within McCormick
*Accountable for selecting suppliers and determining prices and contracts, in line with Delegation of Authority guidelines.
Candidate Profile
Graduate with a strong academic background ideally in a Business, Engineering or technical specialism. Evidence of international exposure is desirable.
Evidence of a strategic approach, with good negotiation skills and communication capabilities
