Sourcing Manager - Chichester

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Sourcing Manager to join Capita Procurement Solutions and be part of the UKs leading business process outsourcing organisation.

Core Role:

* Act as the primary Sourcing lead, interface and focal point with the Client project teams for all procurements defined within your Portfolio
* Provide best practice procurement advice and end to end sourcing project management to the Client - develop sourcing specifications and the sourcing approach with the Client
* Deliver Capita's Procurement Service and procurement solutions in line with the contract scope, criteria and timescales
* Deliver breakthrough results in quality, performance, service & cost of brought in goods & services
* Undertake the implementation of proactive cost reduction and supplier improvement programmes within your Category/Portfolio, as defined by the PSCM
* Understand key commercial drivers and commercial success criteria for procurements undertaken within your portfolio and act as procurement challenge within the Client procurement governance process
* Provide category and strategic sourcing insight to enable the client to make informed choices about the way in which its expenditure is deployed, and drive more value from more effective processes and or external providers

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a Portfolio
* Undertake and manage the effective delivery of the Client Procurement and Sourcing strategy, policies & procedures, and savings programme on an assigned Category Group/Portfolio basis; in order to provide a professional procurement service to the Client.
* Undertake and manage an assigned sourcing project and or procurement through to completion, as per Service & Contract specifications:
- Comply and action Client Procurement strategy & objectives
- Undertake spend profiling, opportunity analysis and procurement benchmarking
- Provide Smarter Sourcing - manage the pre & post tender processes
- Develop and implement Category Sourcing Plans for all assigned categories & projects
- Manage procurements above £100k from "source to contract" stage
- Oversee the effective implementation of the Contract Award process

Essential Experience

* Procurement Category Management experience

Desirable Experience

* Public Sector procurement experience
* Achieved CIPS or studying towards CIPS
