Digital Electronics Engineer is required to work as part of the Engineering team your focus will be on designing and implementing digital electronic circuits including, but not limited to, FPGAs and their associated components and experience in analogue design would be beneficial. You will be responsible for the derivation of sub-system architectures from requirements specifications; Design and development of data acquisition and control electronics, including the following components: FPGAs (such as Xilinx Zynq), Embedded processor systems (such as ARM Cortex, Microblaze), USB (2.0/3.0), High speed memory (such as DDR), ADCs, Actuator control (such as stepper motors) and Electro-Optical components (such as CCDs, CMOS and photodiode devices.

Participate in the development of products as part of multi-disciplinary project teams and to work within project timescales, providing progress indication and task estimates as necessary. Liaise with suppliers in defining the choice of components and test methodologies. Participate in design reviews and prepare design documentation to ensure the Companys codes of practice are adhered to.

Skills & Experience required:
FPGA coding (VHDL preferred)
Embedded processor implementation (based around MicroBlaze, ARM or similar)
JTAG design and programming
Signal integrity design and simulation, including simulation packages (such as SPICE)
PCB design and implementation
E-CAD design tools
Demonstrable experience working within a multi-disciplinary team, translating customer requirements into innovative solutions.
Electronic Engineering degree at a 2:1 or above or equivalent experience
On occasion some international travel may be required.
