My client is looking for a Analysts manager (SAS or SQL) to join a team delivering world class insights to a massive brand. As Insight & Analytics Manager you'll be leading a small team of Senior Analysts to deliver world class insight & analytics in a core area of a major client. You and the team will utilise client transaction, product and customer databases to deliver actionable insights directly to the trading categories that help them to make better, more customer centric decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

* You'll be leading a small, talented team of Senior Analysts to deliver actionable customer insights and analytical solutions.
* You'll form close partnerships with the Business Consultants and together work with the client insight managers and trading categories to determine how to help client hit their strategic objectives.
* You'll take ownership of insight projects end-to-end - everything from helping to identify insight requirements, interrogating our vast databases (using SQL or SAS), making recommendations and delivering the final presentation back to the client.
* You'll support the Senior Analysts on larger projects, helping to ensure consistent high quality and accuracy of deliveries as well as supporting on project planning and client/stakeholder management.
* You'll use your experience and knowledge of retail and customer analytics to support the team in ensuring all insights and recommendations delivered are both relevant and implementable to the client.
* You'll be responsible for the project scheduling & allocation for the whole of the team, ensuring that we find the optimal balance between utilising existing expertise and providing opportunities for development.

Requirements:

* Experience working within customer analytics, a retailer directly or within an FMCG company would be extremely desirable.
* Confident user of databases and statistical tools. You will use your exceptional database coding skills (SAS or SQL) as a means to delivering your analysis and providing guidance to your team.
* Analytically creative - have experience in creating brand new, innovative, often complex methodologies that are both analytically robust and also simple enough to communicate to a non-technical audience.
* Excellent client leadership skills, a flexible and collaborative approach to managing stakeholders supported by examples of driving projects forward and delivering to plan.
* Emerging people leadership skills, ideally previous experience managing or coaching more junior analysts, supported by examples of day to day management (schedules, workload etc) and personal development.
* A university degree in a numerate discipline would be desirable, but not essential.
