Description:
This is an exciting entry level opportunity for a graduate with an IT related degree. We are looking for someone to join our London IT team as an IT Support Analyst for a period of 12 months. During the 12 month contract you will have exposure to a variety of tasks and projects allowing you to gain invaluable experience in a professional services environment.

Our IT department has a complement of 24 IT professionals based in the London office, 1 member of staff in each of the Milan and Hong Kong offices and 11 staff in the US team.

Your duties will include: providing first line support to all IT users within the firm, assisting with user account management for network and email access, performing desktop support functions to users located in the London office and telephone support to the overseas offices and home workers, administering the hardware and software inventory, adding and remove new joiners and leavers into the call logging system, diagnosing PC, laptop and printer hardware faults and liaise with 3rd party engineers, configuring laptops for individuals travelling (UK and overseas), providing desk side assistance when needed and various project work as required.

The hours required are Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm, with 1 hour for lunch. Flexibility is a must as shift coverage, out of hours support and occasional overtime during projects and rollouts may be required.

Skills and experience required:
In addition to demonstrating a strong academic record, including a 2.1 or first class degree in an IT subject, you will need excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills including a helpful, responsive and collaborative approach and a strong client service ethos. Your application should demonstrate evidence of your enthusiasm, commitment to delivering work and assistance of a high quality, and a strong work ethic. You will also need to be able to work under pressure and have the potential to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a methodical and logical way.

You application should also demonstrate that you are technically familiar with the following:
Windows XP Professional
MS Office 2003 – Word (Advanced) Excel (Advanced) PowerPoint (Advanced).
Email – Exchange/Outlook.
Any additional hardware knowledge is desirable.
