This is a greenfield brand new procurement function. Seeking high calibre commercial individuals who can give real strategic oversight.
Overview
To lead sourcing strategy development for the organisation, deployment and supplier management within allocated high value/complex category areas, managing all associated commercial activity to drive value creation and minimise total cost of ownership. Within these specified supply categories to be responsible for the full sourcing life cycle from initial strategy, tendering, and contract award through to transition, contract management and termination. To lead and develop the aggregate relationship with allocated supplier(s) to deliver maximum value to the Group.
There are two Senior Sourcing Manager FTE positions available:
- Senior Sourcing Manager HR, Marketing & Professional Services
- Senior Sourcing Manager Ops & Property
Education / Qualifications:
* Degree-educated preferred, but not essential
* Procurement proficient (e.g. CIPS qualification)
Skills and Experience:
* Financial services background
* Effective people leadership
* Experience of managing and developing Sourcing category strategies
* Leading strategic sourcing projects with multiple stakeholder groups to deliver Group-wide solutions
* Evidence of constructively challenging and influencing stakeholders to deliver best outcome for the Group
* Oversight of supplier management strategy to ensure proactive management of supplier relationship and focus on delivering value throughout life of the contract
* Ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and key suppliers
* End-to-end strategic sourcing experience
* Expert negotiation and influencing skills
* Advanced communication skills (oral and written)
* Excellent analytical and organisational skills
