Are you a Procurement Manager looking for a new opportunity?

1st Executive have been retained by an engineering-focussed Public Sector organisation in Central London, who deal with a number of travel-based service contracts across the UK.

They are looking to appoint a new Procurement Manager on an initial 12 month FTC to replace a long-term interim, and head up a number of indirect contracts in their team of 5, reporting directly into the Head of Procurement. It is likely that this will turn into a permanent role.

The successful candidate will:

- Work with senior stakeholders on site such as engineers and scientists on a range of service contracts

- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet internal business needs

- Implement and enforce procurement best practice to all departments to ensure VFM and to limit commercial risks

- Manage sourcing processes and necessary documentation (including RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs).

- Evaluate and benchmark supplier performance; implementing and monitoring KPIs

Requirements:

- Indirects category experience

- Knowledge of EU procurement guidelines (not essential)

- Have held a procurement lead role in a Public or Private organisation

- Degree educated / MCIPS qualified / equivalent senior experience
