Manpower Technical have a permanent vacancy for a Light Vehicle Mechanic working for one of the UKs leading engineering support services organisations. The ideal candidate will preferably be from a Military or MOD background although we will consider fully qualified Vehicle Technicians from other backgrounds. The main duties of the role are : to carry out maintenance, mechanical repair and modification to an extensive range of wheeled military and commercial 4x4 vehicles.
All repairs are to be carried out to current MOD standards and be VOSA compliant.

Standard hours are 37 hours Monday to Friday. Technicians will be expected to be on call 1 in every 8 weeks and this will be paid at an enhanced rate. It is essential that you hold one of the following qualifications or equivalent: City and Guilds level 2 or above or NVQ level 3 in the service and repair of motor vehicles or has served as a Trade Class 1 Vehicle Mechanic in the military.
You must have strong commercial experience working with a wide range of cars and 4x4 vehicles, a full driving licence is essential and a category C or C+E licence is desirable, diagnostics experience is preferred.
