Infrastructure Project Engineer (3rd Line Support)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Company, a fast growing IT managed services provider.
The role will encompass designing solutions, costing and implementation of small to medium sized projects.

KEY EXPERIENCE
Essential
*5 years in IT Services or similar, at least 2 of which in IT Services Implementation. And at least 3 of the following:
*Troubleshooting/support of MS platforms
*Implementation of MS platforms
*Citrix XenApp
*VMWare
*Storage
*Visio/Technical Documentation
*Networking (switches & routers)
*Security (Firewalls)

Desirable
*Citrix XenServer
*HP P2000
*LeftHand SAN
*Dell Equal logic
*EMC VNXe
*Riverbed
*VNX arrays
*ITIL Methodologies/working practices
*PRINCE2 Methodologies

PERSON SPECIFICATION
*Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
*Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Diligently follow processes
*Ability to work as part of a team
*Punctuality and good time management
*Able to understand Technical systems and terminology used with the IT industry
*Able to prioritise and allocate workloads based on the given timelines

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Own & manage multiple simultaneous project and sales activities, adhering to strict deadlines for small to medium sized projects including (but not limited to):
*Technical Pre-sales Consulting
*Existing Solution Audits
*Quotes & Costing
*Design & Planning
*Implementation

*3rd Line Support
*Writing client facing proposal documentation.
*Able to liaise directly with 3rd parties and customer base in a non-technical linear capacity.
*Coordinate multiple activities to specific timelines and deadlines.
*Maintain the project schedule, along with the Project Manager by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving problems.
*Ensure that all project activity is carried out in a timely, professional manner and in line with the company's best practices and set IT standards.
*Liaising directly with the Sales Department as well as on occasion engaging with customers in a pre-sales technical capacity.
