IT Support Officer

The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade 6. The salary range will be £23,352 - £27,854 per annum, exclusive of London Allowance.

Applications are invited for the post of IT support officer in the computing group at MSSL to support the Laboratory's activities.

Post holder must be able to start at 9am Monday to Friday. MSSL is in a remote countryside location in Surrey, not based in London:- own transport is essential. Occasional travel to the main UCL campus in central London will be required.

The post is funded for two years in the first instance. Further funding to support the post may be available.

The candidate should have an HNC/HND or equivalent experience in a relevant field, excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills, experience of maintaining a small TCP/IP network and of maintaining Windows and Macintosh computers.

Experience of basic maintenance of computer hardware and proven ability to read and write technical and user documentation is also essential as is good software and hardware diagnostic skills.
